In the process of writing “I Do But I Don’t” (to find out more about Kamy and the book, click here), Kamy Wicoff spent years both examining her own experience as a bride and conducting scholarly and popular research to find out as much as she possibly could about what modern weddings tell us about modern women.  In the process she also interviewed more than eighty other women, single, married, engaged, remarried, divorced—you name it—and got their most candid thoughts, feelings and responses to The Bride, weddings, and contemporary relationships and womanhood.

In conjunction with the paperback release of “I Do But I Don’t,” Kamy has decided to continue the conversation she started with her book by writing a monthly column.  Her column will examine current trends and offer new thoughts on modern American weddings, and it will also expand the analysis she began with “I Do But I Don’t” to other important issues affecting Gen X and Gen Y women today.  To receive her column and book news related to “I Do But I Don’t,” please subscribe to Kamy’s mailing list today.  If you’d rather check in periodically for updates, an archive of her columns will appear on this page; simply click on the tabs to the right for each month’s entry.
